BAE Systems Unit Secures $256.89 Million Contract from US Navy for Amphibious Combat Vehicles

The contract modification exercise options for the procurement of 27 full rate production ACV personnel variants, 17 FRP ACV command variants, and associated production, fielding, and support costs. This modification is part of the previously awarded contract, M67854-16-C-0006, and brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to approximately $2.33 billion.

The ACV is an 8×8 wheeled armored vehicle that is designed to transport Marines from ship to shore, and once ashore, to continue on with its mission. It replaces the older Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAV) that has been in service for several decades. The ACV offers improved speed, mobility, and survivability, with advanced communications and command and control systems.

The work on the contract is expected to be completed by July 2025, and Marine Corps Systems Command is the contracting activity. The ACV is a significant part of the Marine Corps\’ modernization plan, and the vehicles are set to be fielded to the fleet in the coming years.
